Northern suburbs account for 42 per cent of Victorian outbreak cases

Victorian Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton says 35 per cent of the cases recorded yesterday were in the northern suburbs. “The northern suburb continues to have the largest number of cases with more than 7,100 active cases or 42 per cent of our total caseload,” he said. Professor Sutton said 30 per cent of cases were in the west, and 23 per cent of cases were in the southeast. Victoria recorded 1,838 new COVID-19 infections in the state.
