‘Discrimination’: Double Bay restaurant bans customers with visible tattoos

Liberal Party Vice-President Teena McQueen says it is "discrimination" for a restaurant in Double Bay to ban diners with visible tattoos, designer-labelled apparel and heavy jewellery. An article published in The Daily Telegraph revealed the Bedouin restaurant wanted to discourage those with “intimidating appearances’’. "In Double Bay, I'm sure there's someone (who) will take issue with this and file a lawsuit somewhere," Ms McQueen said. "I mean, it's discrimination, as simple as that. "As long as people pay their bills at any restaurant, wear what you like, wear nothing for all I care - but let's just treat everyone equally."
