Victoria records first case of monkeypox in a returned traveller

Victoria has recorded its first case of the monkeypox virus. The returning traveller, aged in his 30's, developed mild symptoms in the United Kingdom before arriving in Melbourne on May 16. Testing confirmed he has the virus, and the man is currently isolating in the Alfred Hospital. Victoria Health is contacting potential close contacts.
