House of the Dragon tackles misogyny head-on

House of the Dragon stars promise the new series will be more diverse than its predecessor Game of Thrones, tackling misogyny head-on. In the original book, actor Steve Toussaint’s character Corlys Velaryon is white, but the executive producers wanted this cast to represent the world people live in. “You want a drama which reflects the world we live in,” Mr Toussaint told Sky News Australia. “One of the supporting actors came up to me and said, ‘it’s so good to see you guys up there, because representation matters’.”
