Australia’s vaccine rollout is speeding up as third doses will be administered to those who are severely immunocompromised. The jab is not considered a booster shot but instead will be classed a primary dose of the vaccine. People who are eligible to receive the third dose will be able to do so from Monday. The rollout is still lagging in Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia but New South Wales and Victoria’s rates continue to climb. More than one million doses have been administered nationally over the past three days with a total of 30 million. Australia has 81.5 per cent of the population with one dose and 60.2 per cent fully vaccinated.
