Director Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the 1961 classic musical 'West Side Story' is in theatres next week and he says he has been waiting years to make the film. Mr Spielberg famed for his huge movie hits like Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and Jaws. In an interview with Sky News, he said 1982 movie ET was the last film he enjoyed making as much as this one. “The last time I had this kind of feeling of family making a movie was ET in 1981,” he said. Mr Spielberg also said he had been waiting many years to be able to make an adaptation of the musical, calling the movie a “dream come true”. “It’s a lifelong dream come true for me, began when I was ten years old hearing the original Broadway cast album,” he said.
