How Aussie women are missing signs of ovarian cancer

Confusion over cervical screening could be preventing women from detecting the few warning signs of ovarian cancer. As recently as 2018, 36 per cent of Australians incorrectly believed a cervical screening test helped initial investigation of ovarian cancer. With 1720 Australian women expected to be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021, and 1042 expected to die, that misunderstanding could be costing women their lives.
